Bonjour-I’m Tyler Johnson and I’m working on a “give back to my community” project for my bar-mitzvah. I have chosen to help homeless people in Montreal.
Every time I walk by a homeless person, all I think about is how they, like us, should have a great life and shouldn’t be struggling to find food and shelter. There are over 3000 homeless people in Montreal, and the pandemic has only made things worse.
This is why I am raising funds for the Old Brewery Mission, who have been helping homeless people since 1889. Also, I chose to support them because they are not just focused on helping homeless people survive day to day, they also help people find more permanent housing and offer psycho-social help as well.
When I think of my home, I think of the smell of cookies in the oven. Tyler’s gourmet cookies are well known to the residents of my home! That is why I will bake and deliver a dozen gourmet cookies to all donors who give $36 or more as a special thank you.
Any donation the The Old Brewery Mission goes a long way, here is a breakdown of how your donation helps:
- $20 =5 meals
- $36 =9 meals
- $50 =Housing 1 person for 1 night
- $100 =25 meals
I’m hoping that you could please donate whatever you can to help homeless people. Any amount helps.
